What an exciting weekend we have had!
After preparing our Guest Rooms and planning meals, we were very excited for the arrival of some dear friends.
Penny, with her boys, Arron and Kannon arrived on Saturday Morning. They have been in Wisconsin and Minnesota visiting family and we are delighted to have them for the last leg of their journey before they return home to Hawaii.
We spent hours talking and catching up and it has been such a precious blessing for me to have my dear friend and sister in Christ to visit with.
Tom and Kristi, along with their kids also came to spend the day with all of us on Saturday. Tom was the Best man in our Wedding and Kristi was the Best Maid so it was so great to spend more time with them and get to reconnect.
It was also fun to see all the kids. They are all growing up so fast and it was wonderful to watch all the kids having so much fun together.
A jumping good time was had by all!
The mommies got lots of chit chatting in along with a few good deep conversations and we even got in a power walk.... Kristi Style!
After dinner came the sweetest Dessert... no, not the home made ice cream and blondies... though those were good too. But we had the sweetest time of worship. Tom is the worship leader at our church in Hawaii and he and David spent many a night playing and worshiping into the wee hours. They got to do a little of that on Saturday and we all got to join in.
It was just so precious to sing all the old songs together and some of the new ones Tom has written. Mostly, we just loved coming together and praising our God together. It was like a deep drink in a cool fountain.... so wonderful!
I am so thankful for my beautiful friends and the gift of this time together. It blessed me more than they can know! God is so good to us!
The kids had fun getting re-acquainted and of course, riding lots of rides.
Josiah and Sara tried something new... the swings. They both enjoyed it and I am sure will add it to their list of rides. In between all the business of 7 kids and tons of rides, it was fun to chat and catch up with our dear friends.
